Swallow Holme Caravan Park offers camping and caravanning facilities located on the edge of the village of Bamford in Hope Valley in Derbyshire. The caravan park is set within The Peak District National Park.
The campsite is family run and offers a shower and toilet block, washing up area and a laundry sink. We cater for a small number of touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.
The campsite offers grass pitches that can be used with electric hook-up if needed. The site is fairly flat. The River Derwent runs past the site. Fishing allowed with current licence.
The site has plenty of wildlife including ducks, weasels, rabbits, owls, pheasants and many other species of wild birds. Swallowholme is a great site to use as a walking base for exploring the surrounding area and the Ladybower & Derwent dams.

The Peak District provides an ideal centre for touring the National Park. It lies in a secluded dip in the hills prolifically planted with trees and shrubs to provide a sheltered park for tents, touring caravans and motor vans. The whole site is meticulously maintained to a very high standard from the spotless ablution blocks to the neatly trimmed grass.
The site shop stocks a complete range of goods including groceries, books and magazines, toys, souvenirs and fresh local dairy produce. At Barn Farm Camping we offer a tranquil and peaceful location for camping just three miles outside of Matlock and seven miles fromm Bakewell in Derbyshire.
We have various toilet and shower facilities, all of our shower blocks have individual shower cubicles. We also have a disabled persons shower room and toilet with baby changing facilities. The main shower block is open 24 hours a day. Drinking water is available from all of the taps and we have a couple of pot washing areas. Waste bins are provided around the campsite along with a recycling area. Should you need to do any washing whilst camping with us we have a washer and dryer available.
