Guiting Guest House is an adults-only retreat set in the quintessential Cotswold village of Guiting Power, a short drive north-west of Bourton-on-the-Water and within easy reach of Winchcombe, Stow-on-the-Wold and Cheltenham. Housed in a 16-century former farmhouse, the property brims with period charm, think heavy, exposed beams throughout and an inviting breakfast room with an inglenook fireplace and polished pine floors from Wychwood Forest, where an open fire crackles on cooler mornings.

Three of the bedrooms feature romantic four-poster beds; all have en-suite facilities except the spacious Quad Suite, which occupies the entire top floor and enjoys a private bathroom just across the landing. In summer, guests can relax in the front garden on tables, chairs and sun-loungers, or unwind in the cosy guest lounge with a book and casual conversation.

Practical touches match the comfort: secure bike storage, e-bike charging, a self-service washing machine, tumble-dryer, air-drying racks and boot-cleaning facilities are all available for a small fee. Breakfast (for guests not on the room-only rate) is served in four pre-booked sittings with orders placed by 7 pm the previous evening from a varied menu. We have a licensed honesty bar and you can relax in our guests lounge.

The village itself offers two welcoming pubs (The Hollow Bottom and The Farmers Arms), The Old Post Office café and The Cotswold Guy farm shop with takeaway options. Beyond Guiting Power, you’re within easy driving distance of Cotswold favourites such as Broadway, Burford, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford. Outdoor enthusiasts can tackle Naunton Downs Golf Club or follow the Wardens Way and countless other footpaths that criss-cross the surrounding countryside, perfect for a day’s walk before returning to the warmth and character of Guiting Guest House.
