Crannog Lodge are two apartments situated within the former Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry Offices at the head of the pier in the village of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. This was the traditional ‘Over the sea to Skye’ crossing point that Bonnie Prince Charlie once took after he fled from Culloden Moor. The Skye Bridge was completed in 1995 and the offices then fell redundant. We purchased the offices the following year and have transformed them into two comfortable apartments which afford views towards the sea, the Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range and also the busy harbour which Castle Moil dominates from where the renound ‘Saucy Mary’ used to suspend her chain across the sea to the mainland whilst charging ships a fee to pass through

The cottage has two bedrooms, the upstairs room has beds which may be made up separately or joined to make a large double. It has a lovely view South over the garden and the loch. The downstairs bedroom is next to the bathroom, ideal for anyone who has a problem with stairs. The beds are singles, and it also has a good view.
