Footpath Cottage is a Grade II listed building, dating from around 1850 and situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Edith Weston, which is on the south shore of Rutland Water.
Constructed of local stone with an original Collyweston slate roof, the cottage comprises sitting room, bathroom and kitchen; two good sized bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other a double bed. An additional bed can be supplied if required for four individuals.

This predominantly stone built and thatched cottage overlooks farmland to the rear, beyond which is Rutland Water. Within the village is the Egleton Bird Watching Centre, which becomes home to the annual International Bird Fair during August.

Stretton Lakes is situated in 120 acres of farmland in the county of Rutland. Four fishing lakes have been created over the past 40 years to create an idyllic setting surrounded by woodland and open farmland. KINGFISHER COTTAGE was built around the turn of the twentieth century, together with five others adjacent, to house workers employed at the mill then in existence just across the nearby hump-backed bridge. The subsequent addition of a wing is evident. Semi-detached, meaning joined to another similar structure, the cottage is roadside, fronting onto the quiet by-way of Mill Lane. Over recent years considerable modification has been undertaken, including the erection of a rear conservatory (sun room) in 1995.
