The Barn offers self catering accommodation in the village of Farnsfield near the market town of Newark in Nottinghamshire. The barn is three hundred years old and all on one level sleeping two plus two.
The barn has a double bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower and an open plan lounge and kitchen which comprise a useful range of cupboards, cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer and looks on to two acres of lovely gardens and Koi carp pond. It has its own central heating system and is very cosy and comfortable.
You have your own key and come and go as you please. A cleaner will come in as often as you wish and there is a laundry within walking distance.
The village shops include a Co-Op and a Spar both of which stay open late into the evening and only a short walk away is our very own bakery, fruit and veg shop, newsagent and church.

Alvechurch is situated 12 miles from Birmingham, 3 miles from Redditch, 20 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, and 30 minutes by car to the NEC. Old house stables was the stables for the neighbouring house, which was a coaching house in the 17th century. Shakespeare is reputed to have written part of the 'The Tempest' whilst staying there. The local vicar was defrocked for doing naughties with the scullery maid in the 19th century. Certainly an historic property.
The stables themselves are nicely furnished with sleeping facilities for up to 10 persons. Two bath/showers/toilets, 2 lounges, dining area etc. Nice garden and patio area.

Christmas Cottage, in one of the Cotswolds nicest towns Tetbury, is situated in a very quiet spot but just a step away from the market hall at its centre and a two minute walk away from open countryside.
