Mallard Cottage offers high-quality, comfortable self-catering accommodation in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley, making it an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, West Coast and nearby market towns. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside, the cottage combines homely charm with modern comfort, perfect for a relaxing rural getaway.

Inside, the fully equipped dining kitchen includes everything you need for a convenient stay, there is a full-size cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, large cafetière and ample dining space. The main sitting room features an open fire (with a complimentary basket of wood and bucket of coal each week), two large sofas seating up to six guests, a coffee table and a 40” Full HD TV with Freeview. A second sitting room offers additional space for relaxation, complete with armchairs, a TV, DVD player and a selection of films, board games and children’s books. There is also a modern wet room on the ground floor with towels and hand soap provided.

Upstairs, you’ll find three comfortable bedrooms: a king-size room with en-suite shower, hairdryer and alarm clock; a twin room; and a bunkbed room. Each bedroom includes fresh linen, extra blankets, towels and lovely countryside views. The main bathroom has a bath, sink and toilet.

Outside, guests can enjoy a shared garden with benches, a table, a BBQ with tools and a rotating washing line. There’s also a secure bike store and ample parking for up to four cars. Mallard Cottage is just ¼ mile from the main road and offers free Wi-Fi, oil central heating and a timed immersion heater for hot water in summer.

With Pendle Hill, Gisburn Forest and the Forest of Bowland right on the doorstep, the area is perfect for walking, cycling, and horse riding. There are golf courses nearby. The Settle to Carlisle Railway is nearby and a village shop, café, and pub are just a mile away, making Mallard Cottage the perfect countryside escape.

Electric Vehicle Charging - Unfortunately we do not have a special charging station for charging electric vehicles but it is possible to use a standard 3-pin socket in the cottage but it will cost £20 per charge for all electric-type vehicles. This can be paid in cash to the owner.
