The modern, fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy and enjoyable, with everything you need for preparing meals, alongside a microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Patio doors from the dining area open onto a private, fenced patio with flagstone paving and outdoor seating, creating an inviting spot to dine or relax in the fresh Orkney air.

The Peedie Hoose offers two thoughtfully arranged bedrooms, including a calm double room ideal for couples and a flexible triple room with a double bed and a single bunk above, making it well suited to families or additional guests. A spacious wet-room-style bathroom features a level-access walk-in shower and vanity unit, with fresh towels provided. Outside, open grassy areas surround the cottage, offering a peaceful natural setting, while children can enjoy the swings, slide and space to play at the rear of the property.

The town of Stromness, with its selection of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants, is just a 15-minute drive away, while Kirkwall lies around 20 minutes from the cottage and offers further cultural and historical attractions. Many of Orkney’s most iconic sites, including Skara Brae, the Brough of Birsay, the Ring of Brodgar and Maeshowe, are all within easy reach, along with free trout fishing lochs and RSPB bird reserves such as Marwick Head and The Loons, making The Peedie Hoose an excellent base for discovering the very best of Orkney.
