Rhydspence Inn is a 14th Century country inn that provides guest accommodation, classic British cuisine and locally brewed ales. It is located in the Herefordshire village of Whitney-on-Wye. This is just a short drive from Hereford city and Hay-on-Wye. Whitney has a historic toll bridge that has magnificent views of the River Wye.
The inn offers 7 en suite bedrooms. They all come with a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Most of the rooms have wonderful views.
There is a restaurant available to resident and non resident guests. The kitchen provides classic British dishes using locally sourced produce. We are lucky to be situated on the border of two excellent lamb and beef producing counties. There is a specials board which is updated weekly. The Riverside Inn offers guest accommodation situated in the village of Aymestrey near Leominster. Our inn is located deep in the heart of Herefordshire countryside just on the southern edge of the Mortimer Forest, yet still close to Ludlow and Hereford.
Our rooms are all individually furnished, some with 400 year old beams embedded in the walls.
Our suites are exceptionally spacious, each consisting of a lounge, bathroom and bedroom. The Hayloft suite overlooks the river and opens out directly onto the ornamental terrace gardens which in turn look out over the valley. The Stable suite gives out onto the river bank, perfect for the less mobile and those with dogs.
Breakfast is always individually and freshly cooked using local ingredients, including freshly laid eggs from the village, important for our signature scrambled eggs.

The Oxford Arms is nestled in Kington, a small peaceful town, in rural Herefordshire, it dates, in parts back to the 17th Century, it is mainly a timber frame and stone building that has been added to over the years and in Victorian times the front façade was added. There is still a lot of timber inside however which gives you a real feel for its age. The Oxford Arms is the perfect place to enjoy wholesome home-made traditional pub food in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Drinkers and diners can choose to sit in our more traditional homely pub bar, our warm more comfortable lounge bar or our cosy dining room.
