The Bull and Butcher in Turville is a beautifully decorated inn that offers tasty and pretty food, a good atmosphere for a relaxing drink and is a fantastic party venue. We can cater for a small and intimate meal for a group get together or a wedding function in a marquee outside.
This pub is famous for its TV and film appearances. The Bull and Butcher was the pub featured in the television series 'The Vicar of Dibley' and in the film 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'. "Good Night Mr. Tom" was also filmed in the village as are many of the "Midsomer Murders" episodes.
We get very busy on sunny days, and we'd hate for you to be disappointed, so if you're planning a visit please contact us to book a table. We welcome walkers that have been exploring the Hambledon Valley and have a riding stable next door for anyone who is out riding and wants to stop off for a drink and some lunch.
The Kings Head in Orford is a wonderful place to stop for a drink, a bite to eat or as a place to rest your head while exploring this beautiful area. The whole team prides itself in looking after this very ‘English’ village inn, nestling on the beautiful Suffolk coastline.
A comfortable night’s rest is an important part of your country escape, and the beds at the King’s Head do not disappoint. Crisp cotton sheets, bath sheets and robes and slippers add to the total relaxation on offer here. Cosy rooms with ancient timbers add charm, while modern bathrooms add a touch of luxury.
