All  four of our farm cottages on the Pentland Hills welcome children and pets.  Some are wheelchair friendly with ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms.

Enjoy exploring them individually, room by room, via our Gallery Page slide shows.  Each has its own special ambience. Contemporary chic and underfloor heating. Traditional furnishings in tune with eighteenth century pine panelling and shutters. Or another style altogether in our Steading conversion.

A half hour drive takes you into the heart of Edinburgh, an hour into Glasgow.  Stunning  and lively cities. Wedged between them is wondrous West Lothian with its wealth of attractions for all ages.  And here, bounded by the Pentland Hills and sited in a green haven of rural  tranquillity, you’ll find Crosswoodhill Farm.

Strike out north, south, east or west. Within a short drive (and you do need your own transport here) you’ll be amazed at the diversity of what you can see and do.  Fascinating history and heritage within 15 miles. Sensational scenery in the Trossachs, Borders, Pentlands and Perthshire. Hills, lochs, glens.  Climb a hill, enjoy a country park.  Golf or fish.  And on a rainy day retreat into iconic museums (many free), historic houses, a huge array of attractions or Livingston’s vast retail outlet 8 miles away.  Or delve into our games and toy cupboards ….
