COSY SELF CATERING CABINS & COTTAGES
Our family run self catering chalets, lodges and cottages are tucked away in Lerags Glen just 2.5 miles south of the bustling seaside town of Oban – ‘Gateway to the Isles’ and now equally famous as the ‘Seafood Capital of Scotland’.

We have 15 two bedroom lodges, 4 one bedroom chalets, Cruachan Cottage and Cologin Farmhouse – all offering individual self catering properties located in the countryside less than 3 miles from the bustling seaside resort of Oban.

Some of our lodges welcome pets, some are pet free all year and we have two lodges that are designed for assisted wheelchair access. Cruachan and Cologin Farmhouse let weekly from Friday to Friday or from Monday for 4 nights and Friday for 3 nights. Our lodges and chalets have flexible start dates and are available for short breaks all year round. See where we are located using what3words ///resources. eyebrows.heartless

BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE

We have now partnered with Booking Protect (also know as X-cover) to offer you enhanced protection to your booking. (Read our recent blog for more details.) Of course you may already have holiday insurance with cancellation cover (for example annual insurance with your bank account) and if so, once you’ve notified us of your cancellation we can provide the documentation to support your claim. (Check the terms carefully as policies vary considerably and what you may consider a valid reason for cancelling may not be covered. Most companies require both a valid/approved reason and proof before they will make a refund.)

As the cost of living crisis deepens you might prefer to spread your payments rather than paying your final balance in one go. Just let us know when you book and we can activate ‘custom payments’ which will allow you to pay any amount at any time, and as often as you wish via your ‘stay planner’ guest log in which allows you to manage all aspects of your booking online.

Please do check our full booking terms and conditions (click here) for the full details of when you can cancel for free. We ask that you ensure you have insurance to cover your holiday as there are many last minute reasons why you may not be able to take up your booking including quarantine, illness, jury service, accidents and emergencies at home.

Highly recommended for food

The Barn serves a range of food and is delicious to eat. Very reasonably priced and so worth booking. There is a log burning stove inside and out in the conservatory. They start serving meals at midday and non residents are welcome.

New Years Eve

Had a fantastic New Years Eve at The Barn, food was excellent, atmosphere was great, the entertainment was second to none. This was the way to bring in the New Year. Fantastic well done Mary and staff.

A must-have-been-there for all visitors of Argyll

Since I heard about "The Barn" some years ago, I have always spent a lovely Sunday afternoon there during my yearly holidays in Scotland. The place is unique: Delicious food and drink comes along with the sweet sound of the musicians who meet there completely relaxed on Sundays.

Superb Stay

We could really appreciate the beauty of the scenery around us. It is stunning. Mountains, rivers, deer and birds of prey. Absolutely stunning. You are only 20 minutes from Oban and under 2 hours to Fort William. I will definitely return here. I highly recommend it.

Another Great Stay

My wife and I are just back from our 3rd stay this year at Cologin County Chalets and Lodges. This time we stayed in chalet No 1 which was a one bedroom chalet. What can we say another great stay.

Peaceful, Scenic Retreat

Our lodge was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped. I had a brilliant sleep, super mattress. The location itself was so peaceful, beautiful unspoilt countryside with great forest walks for dogs.
